How the check sets your fee
Your fee slides with your household income. We confirm yours in writing before we begin.
Lower incomes
We don’t charge for our time. Court costs can often be waived, and we help you ask.
Middle incomes
A reduced hourly rate set by your income band, with a total we agree on in writing first.
Higher incomes
Our standard reduced rate, still well below what private firms charge.
Court filing fees and other costs are separate from our fee. We explain them before they come up.
